Quick Tidbit: I've been pretty depressed by the hyper-focus on Palin over the past two weeks and the inability for Obama/Biden to find a point to claw at the McCain/Palin climb. But outside of the annoyingly proverbial box thinking has led me to see that a rise in attention paid to McCain means greater opportunity for voters to get turned off by his actual policies and demeanor. Crying foul at an out-of-context quote, shutting down claims of opposing the "bridge to nowhere" and earmark reform, calling the economy sound then flipping the message the same day when called on its inanity, etc. All Obama has to do is ride this Palin storm out and as the financial system melts people will start to more clearly hear and favor his rational positions. McCain is his own albatross.
